"Taking into account the legal and political lawlessness that  happened on the eve, the Prosperous Armenia faction declares a  boycott of the parliament's sessions and leaves the courtroom right  now," MP Arman Abovyan noted in his speech.

According to him, the parliamentary majority, which came to power  under the banner of restoring democratic values, respect for the  rights and freedoms of citizens, freedom of speech and opinion, is  trying to silence its opponents. "This is not the right path. This is  the path leading to a dead end. I am sure that the parliamentary  majority was against the illegal voting imposed on him. But one thing  is clear: Armenia does not have the resources to become a dictatorial  state. We will fight for the establishment of real democratic  countries values, social, economic and political rights of citizens.  What happened yesterday with your participation and the participation  of the Attorney General is nothing more than the reduction of  political accounts with the political force and its leader, who  expressed disagreement with the policy of the authorities, "the  deputy said. He also noted that the international community and  European structures are closely following the development of events  around the Prosperous Armenia Party and its leader Gagik Tsarukyan.

To recall, yesterday the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  granted two motions of the General Prosecutor of the Republic of  Armenia - on depriving Gagik Tsarukyan of parliamentary immunity and  attracting him as an accused in several criminal cases. Now the the  court will decide on the measure of restraint against the oligarch,  which is scheduled to take place on June 17.  

On June 14, the National Security Service of Armenia disseminated  reports of three criminal cases involving the leader of the  Prosperous Armenia party. One noted that as a result of the illegal  activities of Tsarukyan's companies in the gambling business, the  state budget received less than $ 60 million. The second episode is  related to alleged cases of the bribe being paid by the PAP during  the 2017 parliamentary elections. According to the NSS, it is a  matter of hundreds of millions of drams. In another criminal case, a  company associated with Tsarukyan illegally appropriated land. The  state suffered damage of 342 million drams.
