ArmInfo. On June 14, the National Security Service of Armenia issued a report on numerous cases of distribution of election bribes by the leadership and party activists of Prosperous Armenia during the 2017 parliamentary elections.
The department's report noted that the leadership and other party members, in accordance with well- developed schemes, were distributing hundreds of millions of drams of election bribes. As part of the investigative actions, about 40 searches were carried out, computers, documents and electronic media were seized. The NSS notes that money was distributed under the pretext of charity.
Earlier, the NSS reported another criminal case, according to which Tsarukyan's companies were involved in organizing illegal activities of casinos. As a result of these actions, the state suffered damage of $ 60 million.
To recall, in the morning of June 14 searches were carried out in Tsarukyan's house. Then he went to the NSS for questioning. By chance or not, the former chairman of the Control Chamber, the president of Pan- Armenian Sports games Ishkhan Zakaryan, who was in close relationship with Gagik Tsarukyan was also called for questioning. Two days earlier, the leader of the party < Prosperous Armenia> Gagik Tsarukyan urged the prime minister and the 100% government to resign. The oligarch himself was summoned for questioning by the National Security Service of Armenia (NSS). Tsarukyan called what was happening political persecution.
