ArmInfo. The heads of the Ministry of Health of Armenia and Georgia decided to create a common platform for discussing the fight against coronavirus. Arsen Torosyan and Ekaterine Tikaradze agreed on this during a telephone conversation.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Health, during the conversation the parties discussed issues related to therapeutic and anti-epidemic measures. The heads of the Ministry of Health presented the epidemic situation in both countries, exchanged views on measures taken to address this problem at the national level, and also discussed the possibilities of mutual assistance.
The importance of bilateral discussions was also noted, the interlocutors agreed to create a platform for the exchange of experience. It was agreed to hold the first such discussion in online mode with the participation of the ministers of health of both countries.
The parties agreed on the need for organizing bilateral discussions on strategic issues regarding anti- epidemic measures, especially in terms of the preparedness of the health systems of both countries for a possible outbreak in the fall.
