ArmInfo. Despite the tension of the moment, weak hopes appeared in Armenia for stabilizing the situation in connection with the spread of COVID-19. This was announced on June 9 at a briefing in Yerevan by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Nevertheless, according to him, this fact should not reassure, on the contrary, vigilance should be strengthened. And in this matter, as the prime minister noted, the personal responsibility of everyone in maintaining anti-epidemiological standards is important. Nikol Pashinyan again called for wearing masks, washing hands often and maintaining social distance. He noted that often outbreaks of the epidemic are observed during weddings and funerals. In this regard, the prime minister called for compliance with the rules established by the commandant's office. Underscoring the importance of public warning, he called for weddings and funerals to work with local governments and the police. The head of government also recalled his public warning initiative, according to which small groups of people could voluntarily visit yards and present the measures necessary to combat coronavirus.
Nikol Pashinyan also did not rule out the possibility of extending the state of emergency. The likelihood of this step, he said, is very high. "I think that the state of emergency will be extended," the head of the Armenian government said.
