ArmInfo. Each soldier must be sure that he is better armed and better trained than his opponent, his weapons are more accurate and long-range, the ammunition is enough to solve a combat mission, and he will receive the necessary combat support at any time. This is the vision of RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan regarding the re-equipment of the priorities and goals of the Armed Forces.
At the same time, the Minister emphasized that the process of large-scale rearmament of the Armed Forces has already been launched: from firearms to long-range missile systems and multi-functional combat aircraft.
"However, we are at the beginning of the road. The rearmament of the Armed Forces has several goals. The first goal is to create such a military force that will not only restrain the enemy's revenge seeking and keep him from the temptation to launch large-scale hostilities, but also quickly deprive him of the ability to wage war he still succumbs to this temptation. The second- rearmament is aimed at equipping the units of the Armed Forces with such mobile, modern and high-precision weapons that will operate in the field of automatic control and will ensure decentralized independent activity of the units, "the minister said.
According to Tonoyan the third goal -rearmament is aimed at achieving the most simple and long-term operation of weapons and military equipment, with the smallest human resource and with minimal dependence on the work of the human factor, maintenance and use, which will lead to the efficient use of resources.
According to the head of the RA Ministry of Defense, the fourth goal -rearmament is aimed at a more efficient use of available resources to achieve obvious superiority over a potential enemy in various fields of combat operations and to neutralize existing risks.
"For example, the goal of creating multi-generation 4+ generation aviation is to take the initiative in the air- to-air and air-to-ground planes. The goal of replenishing hypersensitive air defense systems operating at different altitudes and depths is to aim and neutralize all possible air strikes: from the lowest targets flying at low altitudes, to those that operate in aerospace space, and so on, "the minister summed up.
