ArmInfo.A new triage center has been created in Armenia to receive, diagnose and transport patients with suspected coronavirus. Head of the RA Ministry of Health Arsen Torosyan said this on his Facebook page.
The new triage center will be operational from June 6 at the National Burn Center. Until today, this function was performed only by the Nork Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. <The new center currently has 65 beds and 9 more resuscitation beds. Within a few days, the bed capacity will increase by another 58 beds. In total, we will have 132 additional beds. I want to emphasize that the center will not provide outpatient services, but will be guided by special procedures of triage (medical sorting of patients, Ed. note), on the basis of which the "Ambulance" of Yerevan will deliver patients to the center>, the minister informed.
In total, 12364 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 3720 people recovered, 190 died. Currently, 8385 patients are receiving treatment.
