"I once again remind you that now the emphasis is on inviting the heads of state of the CIS," Peskov told reporters, answering the question whether the invitations to the Victory Parade to Moscow were sent to the Russian President's counterparts in the UN Security Council and whether they received answers, reports RIA Novosti. Meanwhile, Izvestia reports that 19 countries were invited to the parade in the Russian capital, the military personnel of Serbia, Kazakhstan and Armenia had previously confirmed their participation.
The military parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War due to the coronavirus pandemic was postponed from May 9 to June 24, the anniversary of the parade of the winners of 1945. This day is declared non-working. Parades will be held in nine hero cities and 19 cities where the headquarters of the military districts, fleets and associations of the Russian Armed Forces are deployed.
