ArmInfo.Armenia cannot afford itself to live in strict quarantine, Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan said in parliament in response to calls for a strict quarantine regime. According to him, for quite a long time the country's leadership faced a difficult dilemma how to prevent country's citizens from difficult situation either financial or health one.
<We seemed to be between two fires>, the deputy speaker said. Simonyan stressed that for some reason, Armenian citizens are not serious about the challenge associated with the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic. <We have a problem with perception. However, no matter who is at the helm of power, if we do not change the minds of citizens, no one can do anything. If a person is irresponsible in this situation, we can't change anything>, - Simonyan concluded.
It should be noted that on June 4, 697 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Armenia. In total, 11221 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 3468 people recovered, 176 died. Currently 7509 patients are receiving actual treatment.
