ArmInfo. The governors of several regions of Armenia called on citizens to strengthen public control in connection with COVID-19.
In particular, governor of the Lori region Andrey Ghukasyan noted that the situation with coronavirus in the region is becoming more and more problematic, and therefore public control is gaining new importance. "Help together, jointly overcome this explosive situation," he said, asking local residents to send him photos and videos regarding mass crowds, which is a violation of anti-epidemiological rules. Governor of the Ararat region Garik Sargsyan made a similar call to residents, noting that all cases of security breaches will be investigated, and violators will be held accountable.
To note, earlier Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called the massive violations of anti-epidemiological measures shameful, at the same time reporting on tightening the relevant controls. Most often, according to him, gatherings of citizens are observed at banks, HayPost branches, as well as in markets. In addition, gatherings of students were also found in schools during the distribution of certificates and textbooks. At the same time, in some schools, contrary to the ban, the Farewell Bell was celebrated.
