ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia completed a preliminary investigation in the criminal case against the director of Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory''.

According to the press service of the IC, the director of the plant  is accused of fraud, through which damage was done on an especially  large scale, as well as falsification of evidence. The investigation  established that on January 8, 2019, an agreement was concluded  between ''Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine- Vodka Factory' and Daf Alco  Trans LLC, according to which the company was obligated to deliver  the goods assigned to it by the customer to its destination. However,  <Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory> owed Daf Alco Trans  company 120.735.150 drams, causing the company major damage. After  which, the company appealed to the bankruptcy court with a request to  declare the plant bankrupt. The court accepted this case into  proceedings.

After that, the director of the plant forged the signature of the  director of the company Daf Alco Trans and drafted a falsified  <Agreement to amend the contract> dated January 11, 2019. The  director of the plant filed a lawsuit against Daf Alco Trans with a  request to declare the agreement of January 8, 2019 invalid.  The  director of the plant again used a copy of the aforementioned false  document as evidence to refute the claim of Daf Alco Trans LLC during  the investigation of the bankruptcy case in court.

The director of the plant used the aforementioned document in court  as evidence and fraudulently prevented Daf Alco Trans company from  receiving the amount due to it in the amount of 120 735 150 drams for  the transportation of goods, which caused the company major damage.

Based on the facts gathered, the director of "'Yerevan Ararat  Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory'' " was charged with Article 349  (Falsification of evidence - Ed.note) and 184 (Causing property  damage through fraud or breach of trust - Ed. note) of the Criminal  Code of the Republic of Armenia. The criminal case with the  indictment was sent to court.

It should be noted that the shareholder of 'Yerevan Ararat  Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory'' is the Multi- Group company controlled by  a large Armenian businessman and chairman of the Prosperous Armenia  Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan.
