ArmInfo. Russia considers relations with Armenia as allied, and they are allied in fact, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov told reporters following a meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers in an online conference today, answering a corresponding question.
According to him, this also applies to relations within the CSTO, and within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
"Military cooperation is very close. You know that there is a Russian military base in Armenia that helps to ensure stability and security in the region. As regards military-technical cooperation and the military-technical assistance that we provide to Armenia, a close, productive relations have been established. This cooperation is constant, everyday and professional. So, no questions arise here, "the Russian Foreign Minister concluded.
