According to him, the MPs will be expelled from the conference room for a period of 1 to 7 days. Ararat Mirzoyan pointed out the importance of implementing the decisions of the Commandant, which also applies to parliamentarians. He emphasized that everyone should contribute to the fight against coronavirus. The speaker also considered it necessary to maintain social distance. "We should set an example for the citizens of the country. I myself have repeatedly paid attention to publications on social networks, in which I was indoors without a mask, I think I was wrong. I was also wrong during the inauguration of President Artsakh, during which I was without a mask, which is wrong, "the head of the Armenian parliament admitted.
In turn, the head of the Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan recalled that the conditions of the state of emergency in Armenia do not apply to the MPs of the National Assembly. He agreed on the need for masks in the meeting room, but against their use during speeches.
In response, Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed his threat to expel lawmakers without medical masks from the courtroom.
To recall, from May 25, by the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister, commandant of the state of emergency Tigran Avinyan, wearing masks has become a mandatory requirement, especially in enclosed spaces and in open public places.
