ArmInfo. The lawyer of the former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan - Inessa Petrosyan was tested positive for coronavirus. This information is confirmed by her husband Karen Mezhlumyan, who is also a lawyer in the Ohanyan case.
Petrosyan is undergoing treatment at home; Mezhlumyan's coronavirus test answers are not yet known. Meanwhile, in view of the current situation, a motion was filed with the court to postpone the hearing scheduled for May 26.
Seyran Ohanyan is being accused in the March 1, 2008 case. In addition to him, the former president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharian, the former chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, the former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov and the former deputy prime minister Armen Gevorgyan are also accused.
To note, Ohanyan is suspected of embezzlement of property on an especially large scale - 1,046,400,000 drams. According to the investigation, in 2010, by decision of the government, the property of the hydroelectric power station, which was on the balance of the Ministry of Defense, was sold to Dzoraget Hydro. This document was discussed at a government meeting under a secret procedure, and on its basis the property of Dzora Hydroelectric Power Plant CJSC, whose market value was 4.6 billion drams, was sold to Dzoraget Hydro for 3.6 billion drams.
