Rate of doubling of cases of coronavirus is maintained every 15 days  in Armenia

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the rate of doubling of cases of coronavirus is maintained every 15 days. RA Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan announced this at a May 21 press conference.

As noted, if the current situation cannot be reversed, then after 15  days the number of patients with coronavirus in the republic will  reach 11,200. Torosyan emphasized that all efforts will be made to  stabilize the situation, while noting that scenario that  Armenia's  cases of COVID-19 will  reach hundreds of thousands  by the end of  June  is unlikely.

The Minister drew attention to the close cooperation of the republic  with various countries and organizations in the fight against  coronavirus. In particular, EUR 2.7 million was allocated as  assistance from the EU to Armenia, 2 thousand PCR -tests from the  WHO, $ 20 thousand from China, 40 thousand Swiss francs from  Switzerland , coronavirus tests from the Netherlands , 20 thousand  PCR tests and 33500 units of reagents from Russia, drugs from India ,  facemasks and disinfectants from UAE . Assistance is also expected  from Japan (it is possible that in the form of medical equipment) and  Canada. A number of international organizations also extended a  helping hand to the republic, including the Eurasian Fund for  Stabilization and Development, the Asian Development Bank, the World  Bank, UNICEF, UNFPA, USAID. "We also help our partners whenever  possible," Torosyan emphasized.

In total, 5606 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic,  2581 people recovered, 70 died. Currently, 2928 patients are  receiving treatment.
