ArmInfo. Russian-made lung ventilation devices are not used in Armenia. This was announced by RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan at a May 21 press conference, answering ArmInfo's question about whether local medical facilities are equipped with Aventa-M ventilators, which, presumably, caused fires in Moscow and St. Petersburg hospitals.
Torosyan also said that "Aventa-M" type ventilators were not received by the RA Ministry of Health from Russia as humanitarian aid in connection with the situation with coronavirus. According to the minister, mechanical ventilation devices are being operated in Armenia, made, in particular, in the USA, Germany and China. To note, the Aventa-M ventilators were used in the treatment of patients with coronavirus in hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg in which fires occurred on May 9 and 12. In this regard, Roszdravnadzor suspended the circulation on the territory of Russia of the Aventa-M devices manufactured since April 1, 2020. Earlier, the United States of America refused to use Russian ventilation machines of this brand.
