ArmInfo. Judge Anna Danibekyan was recognized as a victim in the criminal case on the dissemination of information about her personal life, the Investigative Committee reports.
A criminal case was instituted under Article 144 and part 1 of Article 145 of the RA Criminal Code (illegal collection, storage, use or dissemination of information about personal or family life, as well as publication of information about the disease or the results of a medical examination). Earlier, the Supreme Judicial Council issued a statement criticizing the publication in a number of media of information regarding Danibekyan's state of health. In particular, it was noted that the publications contained information that related to personal life and represented medical secrets.
To recall, in March Anna Danibekyan, who is a judge in the case of ex-President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, issued a ballot for health reasons, as a result of which the court hearings were adjourned. The first hearing since mid-March was held on May 8, and the defense side presented a number of petitions to change the preventive measure of Kocharyan. On the eve of a court decision, all applications were rejected. To note, Robert Kocharyan was charged with overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
