ArmInfo. Armenia's Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan sued former Director of medical center of Masis Nune Avanesyan. This is reported by the judicial information system DataLex.
The claim voiced a demand for a public refutation of slanderous information posted by Avanesyan in April of this year on her Facebook page, as well as compensation for moral damages in the amount of 2 million drams. In her posts on Facebook, Avanesyan in particular noted that Torosyan allegedly overestimates the number of patients with coronavirus in order to obtain funding. The lawsuit was filed on May 14, and then sent to judge of the court of general jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan Sarkis Yeritsyan.
To recall, in August 2018, Avanesyan was dismissed from the post of the director of the MC of the city of Masis by order of the governor of the Ararat region Garik Sargsyan. She became famous after being the director of this medical center, instead of urine, she handed over a tea brew for analysis and received a urine analysis response with all cellular components. After that, a number of employees of this laboratory wrote a letter of resignation.
