ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan participated in an online meeting of the World Economic Forum and the Eurasian Regional Group.
According to the press service of the government, during the meeting they discussed the strategy of governments and businesses to overcome economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, chains of global and regional challenges.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that all countries are facing a public health crisis, and coronavirus will be a serious problem for a long time to come.
Presenting Armenia's strategy for overcoming the crisis, Tigran Avinyan noted that the limited regime made it possible to gain time and adapt to the situation, increase the capacity of the healthcare system. Subsequently, the government eased restrictions after the necessary preparations, while establishing mandatory rules and guidelines for the behavior of the economy and society in the new situation.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this crisis period is also an incentive for major reforms, especially in the field of digitalization. He spoke about the possibilities of the digital economy, digital management and further development of the digital society, briefly presenting the experience of Armenia.
