ArmInfo. With the assistance of the Ombudsman of Armenia, a number of trucks from Iran managed to cross the state border with Armenia.
According to the Ombudsman's press service, the human rights defender's hotline received a signal asking them to help several trucks located on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) that have not been able to cross the border for 3-4 days due to the queue of more than 300 trucks cars. At the same time, citizens noted that the Iranian side claims that Armenia, allegedly, does not accept trucks. Moreover, they emphasized that at night, trucks with Iranian license plates are allowed to enter Armenia. According to the source, the Office of the Ombudsman presented this problem to representatives of the Commandant's Office for emergency situations. As a result of cooperation with the latter, a number of truck drivers were able to enter the territory of Armenia.
