ArmInfo. Two servicemen, including of officers rank, were detained as part of a criminal case on the death of Artsakh Army soldier Sasun Markaryan. So, according to the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 1, Part 3. Art. 358 of the RA Criminal Code (Violence against a subordinate), a senior officer, Lieutenant Kh. Kh. was detained.
In the framework of the criminal case, a conscript soldier, junior sergeant G. S. was also arrested. He is suspected of carrying out non-violent actions against a subordinate, violation of the statutory relations and bringing the serviceman to suicide (clauses 2 and 3 of part 2 of article 360.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, item 1 of part 3 of article Art. 358.1 of the Criminal Code of RA, part 1 of Article .359 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia). The preliminary investigation continues.
As ArmInfo previously reported, on May 10, under unclear circumstances, a conscript soldier Sasun Markaryan (born in 2001) was killed in the Artsakh Defense Army. The body of a serviceman with a gunshot wound was discovered on May 10 at around 6:25 local time, at one of the strongholds of a military unit located in the eastern direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact of the troops. In fact, a criminal case was instituted in the RA IC.
