ArmInfo.RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the three main rules for countering coronavirus.
During a live broadcast on Facebook, the prime minister noted that the personal responsibility of every citizen is important to counter the spread of coronavirus. According to him, to stabilize the situation and taking into account the fact that the population will have to live at least a year along with coronavirus, everyone should follow simple anti-epidemiological rules. Pashinyan called for maintaining social distance and wearing a mask (especially during a conversation and in small rooms), not to touch your face with dirty hands and not to use dishes, that are not properly sterilized. This is especially important given that in the last days in Armenia over a hundred new cases of coronavirus are recorded daily, which indicates that the anti-epidemiological rules are not enforced en masse. Meanwhile, following the above rules would help to avoid a scenario in which restrictions would be introduced in the country several times a year to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The prime minister recalled that since May 4, restrictions on certain types of economic activity have been relaxed. This opened up opportunities for revitalizing the economy, which, according to him, will have a positive impact on social life. He also informed that according to the data of May 12, in Armenia, within the framework of anti-crisis programs assistance in the amount of 73 billion drams was allocated to 1.1 million citizens. Meanwhile, Pashinyan noted that non-compliance by citizens with simple rules to counter the coronavirus can put the country in a serious crisis.
According to the latest data, 3,718 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, 1,500 people recovered, 48 died.
