Andranik Kocharyan: Karen Karapetyan answered questions of interest  to members of the Committee

ArmInfo. Former Prime Minister of  Armenia Karen Karapetyan answered all the questions of the  parliamentary committee investigating the events of the April war.  This was stated in an interview with reporters by the head of the  Committee, the lawmaker from the "My Step" bloc Andranik Kocharyan.

He noted that at a closed meeting, issues of interest to members of  the committee were discussed. "I should note that we do not draw up  our opinion solely on the answers of Karen Karapetyan, we will  examine these issues, listening to various representatives of the  former government," Kocharyan noted.

When asked by reporters whether Karen Karapetyan insisted on his  statement that the military equipment of the Armenian side did not  work during the April war due to low-quality diesel fuel, and whether  this served as the basis for the Committee to take note of this  statement, Kocharyan said: I rely on the answers of the military  personnel who took part in the Committee's work before Karen  Karapetyan, and I considered the explanations of the former commander  of the Artsakh Defense Army very important>.

To note, the parliamentary committee to investigate the circumstances  of the April  war 2016in Karabakh was set up in 2019. The Committee  includes representatives of all factions of the National Assembly.  Its purpose is to identify possible errors, shortcomings or inaction  on the part of the then authorities during the aforementioned period  of aggravation of the situation at the border, which led to the death  of more than 100 Armenian troops. The committee has already been  visited by the third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, former  Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, former Minister of Defense of  Artsakh Levon Mnatsakanyan, head of the General Staff of the Armed  Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan, while former chief of the General  Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Yuri Khachaturov refused to  attend the Committee's meeting.
