ArmInfo. Mankind will overcome the crisis. The Chairman of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan made this statement at the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, responding to a remark by the head of the Bright Armenia faction, Edmon Marukyan, about the reasons for tightening the entrance to the RA National Assembly Hall. Edmon Marukyan, in particular, noted that at the entrance to the conference room, MPs were given out gloves and masks, which had not happened before. Without these attributes, parliamentarians were not allowed into the conference room. The MP asked what this is connected with, whether there are MPs who have been infected with coronavirus, and in this regard, how realistic is the possibility of terminating the work of the legislative body. In response, Ararat Mirzoyan said that in Armenia, as well as throughout the world, an infection called COVID-19 has spread. In this regard, in Armenia, as well as throughout the world, the necessary measures are being taken to prevent the spread of infection. One protective measure is gloves and masks. The speaker noted that one of the employees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia became a contact person, and for this reason control measures were tightened. It is impossible to completely stop the work of the parliament, since the crisis will be long, and it would be frivolous to stop the work of the country's highest legislative body for the entire period. "I am sure that mankind will defeat the virus," the speaker noted.
