The Armenian grandmaster ranks 7th in the FIDE ranking of the world`s  strongest chess players.

ArmInfo.Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian takes 7th place in May ranking FIDE the strongest chess players in the world.

According to the rating, Levon Aronian has 2773 points. Norwegian  grandmaster Magnus Carlsen is the leader in the May FIDE ranking.  American grandmaster Fabiano Caruana is in second place with 2835  points, and third Chinese chess player Liren Dean with 2791 points.  Russians Jan Nepomniachtchi was in fourth place (2784), Frenchman  Maxim Vashier- Lagrave (2778) - in fifth place. Above Aronyan is the  Russian Alexander Grischuk, who has 2777 points.
