ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian congratulated the residents of the country on May 1. This was reported by the press service of the president. According to the source, the president's congratulatory message, in particular, reads: <Today is Labor Day.
This year it is held in a state of emergency, for some - medical workers, taxi drivers and ambulances, police and rescue workers, their other colleagues - even in continuous labor mode. First of all, I want to congratulate and express my gratitude to the people of these professions, especially doctors and medical workers, for whom the hospital has become both a home and family these days. They deserve the highest praise, including also a special attitude and awards from the state.
I am also grateful to those people who work with more than usual load these days without complaining. They realize that their every additional effort can at least save one life, create bread for one family, help protect the safety of citizens and the country>, the president emphasized. Sarkissian noted that due to the coronavirus, some of the residents of Armenia temporarily stopped work, some lost their jobs - their only source of livelihood.
<I understand the condition of your families and share your concern. I understand what it means to be unemployed in this situation. I know that at this moment many of you are looking for a life buoy. There is the need for state assistance, there is also the need for holding hands tightly with each other, because without helping each other, we will not be able to move forward, especially in an emergency. It doesn't matter where you are at the moment in connection with an emergency: at home in isolation or at the construction site, in front of the operating table, or continue to work on scientific work, are in the service or are waiting for a call from the employer. Today, even in the most developed and richest countries, serious social problems have arisen. We are also in a difficult position. On the one hand - a pandemic with its consequences, on the other - economic and financial problems, and next to them are social, human problems. In all cases, the state, first of all, and we all have a lot to do. The way out of the situation lies in the state-employer-employee triangle, and this triangle must be a strong integral whole. However, the decisions above all are responsibility, discipline, vigilance, and also concern for the working person, so that we can overcome the pandemic as soon as possible and return to normal life, "he said. In conclusion, the president emphasized that today all citizens of the country should be together and jointly overcome difficulties.
