ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister and Commandant Tigran Avinyan does not rule out a return to the most stringent restrictive regime in connection with COVID-19. At a government meeting on April 30, Avinyan noted that this measure can be applied if the relaxation of the current restrictions leads to such an increase in the incidence of coronavirus that would jeopardize the normal functioning of the health system. In this regard, the importance of strict adherence to COVID-19 prophylaxis rules by economic entities was noted. "If a coronavirus patient is detected in any business entity, its activity will be suspended," Avinyan emphasized, adding that safety rules are based on the interests of all citizens.
Meanwhile, the current situation with coronavirus has not yet made changes to the government's plans to gradually ease existing restrictions. "Our decisions can be changed depending on the dynamics of the spread of coronavirus, but so far there is no need for these changes," the Deputy Prime Minister said. Thus, at this stage, decisions regarding permits to resume work in some areas of economic activity will not be reviewed subject to strict implementation by security entities of security measures. Meanwhile, schools across the country will continue to remain closed; significant restrictions will apply in the field of culture and entertainment. Gradually, industrial enterprises will begin to operate, as well as some stores (based on the assortment of goods). In total, 2066 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 929 people recovered, 32 died. Currently, 1103 patients are receiving actual treatment.
