ArmInfo. The former Republican Party ruling in Armenia expresses concern and resentment over the foreign policy pursued by the Armenian government on the Artsakh issue. This is stated in the statement of the RPA executive body received in ArmInfo.
According to the source, the RPA expresses concern about the information provided by the Russian Foreign Minister on the course of the peace talks on Nagorno-Karabakh, and expresses outrage at the foreign policy of the Armenian government on this issue. <This does not meet our national interests and can have devastating consequences for the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Republic, nullifying the basic principles of negotiations with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs until 2018, including with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs - Russia, France and the United States .
Obviously, the RPA believes that in the batch version, unlike the phased version, the basic principles and elements of the settlement were fixed at the very beginning, and it was clear that each of the parties would get the result. The danger of the phased version is that on some At one stage, one of the parties may get some advantages, so it becomes uncertain and full of dangers.
Naturally, the phased version cannot provide for the realization of the right of the people of Artsakh to self- determination, which is vital for the Armenian republics. This is very clearly seen from the "draft phased settlement" published by Minister Lavrov during the discussions on the current round of negotiations. If in the past they regularly talked about a package solution with step-by-step implementation, today in Moscow Sergey Lavrov made very clear and unambiguous statements during a round table with representatives of the Gorchakov club.
The authors of the statement believe that today the Armenian Foreign Minister did not refute the statements of his Russian counterpart about the new project submitted to the parties in April last year. <Therefore, we strongly condemn many of the misleading and dishonest statements of the current Armenian authorities about the lack of a negotiation document. Because of the apocalyptic and populist approach of this regime, which began negotiations with its own points of view :, provisions of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination were excluded from the agenda. We reiterate that any settlement option that is not based on the principle of guaranteed realization and recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination is unacceptable, like international guarantees for the security of the people of the Artsakh Republic. We firmly believe that the problem can be solved on the basis of compromises, and these compromises cannot be listed without first guaranteeing clear recognition and realization of the right of the Republic of Artsakh to self-determination>, the statement reads.
