A commission will be set up in Armenia to deal with vicious phenomena  in the army

ArmInfo. By the decision of the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan the commission on reforms in the army will be set up, which will also deal with vicious phenomena in the  Armenian Armed Forces. The Secretary of the Security Council of  Armenia Armen Grigoryan informed about this on his Facebook page.

Grigoryan noted that he was appointed the head of the commission.  <Our main task is to identify the problems that exist in the field of  defense. Moreover, we also intend to identify the causes of these  problems, prevent their consequences and reduce all kinds of risks>,  the Secretary of the Security Council stressed.

He also said that based on the results of its work, the commission  will put forward its proposals, which will help to eliminate problems  in the army.

To note, at the beginning of this year, the army recorded a record  number of suicides. 13 cases of non- combat deaths were recorded in  just a month and a half. As a result, the chief of the military  police Arthur Baghdasaryan and the head of the department of moral  and psychological support of the Armed Forces Aleksan Aleksanyan  resigned. Artsakh Defense Minister Karen Abrahamyan also resigned.
