Ararat Mirzoyan: I am sure that the committee investigating the  events of the April war will study all the facts that Serzh Sargsyan  spoke about

ArmInfo. The parliamentary committee to investigate the events of the April war is doing everything possible to establish all the details of the processes  that took place in April 2016. Speaker of the National Assembly of  Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan stated this in an interview with reporters on  April 17.

He, in particular, stated: <To be honest, I am not familiar with the  details of the committee's work, but in general I'm aware. I hope  that when the committee finishes its work, it will have all the  comprehensive information in its hands>, the speaker emphasized.

Regarding the participation of the third president of Armenia Serzh  Sargsyan in the meeting of the committee, Mirzoyan stated: "I am sure  that the committee will study all the information that Serzh Sargsyan  presented during the meeting. Sargsyan was duly received and  organized his entry into the territory of the parliament from the  entrance through which the speaker enters>.

It should be noted that on April 16, Serzh Sargsyan took part in a  meeting of the parliamentary commission to investigate the events of  the April war of 2016.

To recall, the parliamentary committee to investigate the  circumstances of the April war in Karabakh was created in 2019. The  Committee included representatives of all factions of the National  Assembly. The purpose of its work is to identify possible errors,  shortcomings or inaction on the part of the then authorities during  the aforementioned period of aggravation of the situation at the  border, which led to the death of more than 100 Armenian troops. The  commission was visited by former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan,  head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak  Davtyan, and former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov refused  to attend the committee's meeting.
