Presidents of Armenia and Georgia discuss food security in the  context of the coronavirus pandemic

ArmInfo. The measures taken by the Armenian and Georgian authorities in the fight against coronavirus were discussed during a video call by the Presidents of  Armenia and Georgia, Armen Sarkissian and Salome Zourabichvili.

According to the RA President's press service, the interlocutors  emphasized the importance of close interaction and constant contacts  between the two fraternal and friendly countries in the current  difficult situation, expressing the conviction that the  implementation of coordinated measures and joint efforts is more  important than ever in such crisis times.

The parties also noted that by joint efforts they will surely  overcome the situation that has developed as a result of the epidemic  and subsequently, all the power of interaction between the two  countries will be aimed at restoring the economies of Armenia and  Georgia and maintaining friendship between the peoples.

Sarkissian noted that in this situation, the problem of food security  continues to be particularly relevant. In this context, the  interlocutors raised issues of food security in the modern   interconnected world and region.
