ArmInfo. The heads of local self-government bodies with a population of up to 15 thousand people will be required to submit income and property declarations. Amendments to the Laws "On Public Service" and "On the Commission on the Prevention of Corruption" were introduced at the plenary meeting of the Armenian parliament on April 15 in the second and final reading.
The document was presented by the Bright Armenia opposition faction. According to the parliamentarian of the faction Taron Simonyan, the package is aimed at preventing possible corruption risks. Moreover, declarations will be submitted not only by the heads of communities, but also by their deputies. The deadlines for submitting declarations are also set: from June 1 to October 1.
