To recall, on March 17, 2017, the leader of the Turkish-Azerbaijani cultural union of The Hague, Ilham Ask?n , was found guilty by a Dutch court of incitement to hatred and violence against Armenians. Ilham Ask?n was sentenced to four weeks of probation with a two-year probationary period, as well as to compulsory labor for 120 hours.
It should be noted that Ilham Ask?n was brought to trial on charges of incitement to hatred and violence against Armenians, because during a Turkish rally he stated that "Karabakh will become the grave of Armenians."
The rally was organized on June 1, 2014 and directed against the erection of a monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in the city of Almelo on the territory of the Armenian Apostolic Church. In connection with the anti-Armenian statements made during the rally in Almelo, the Armenian organizations of the Netherlands submitted a corresponding complaint to law enforcement agencies.
