


ArmInfo. Turkey will send medical equipment to its regional rivals - Israel (medical equipment) and Armenia (medicines). This was reported to the Hurriet Daily News by the Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca. He said the drugs would be sent as part of the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic, emphasizing the sensitivity of the Turkish government to humanitarian issues.
<There was a request for medicines from Armenia. Our president has approved this requirement, and our ministry of health is carrying out this process>, said Ibrahim Kalin, presidential spokesman and chief adviser to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview with CNNTurk private television channel. He did not provide details.
The newspaper also recalled that Turkey facilitated the return of about 100 Armenians to their homeland through Georgia last week. Erdogan also spoke on the phone with "the Armenian Patriarch Sahak II in Istanbul, inquiring about the state of affairs of the Patriarchate after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as about the needs of the Armenian community of Turkey."
Turkey will also send medical equipment to Israel and Palestine. Medical equipment that will be delivered to these two countries will include masks, medical protective suits and test kits.
