ArmInfo.RA Deputy Prime Minister, Commandant Tigran Avinyan proposed extending the state of emergency in Armenia for another 30 days, while maintaining restrictions on movement, public and inter-regional transport, according to the schedule of which the Commandant will take appropriate decisions.
This was announced on April 11 during a meeting of the Commission coordinating work to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which was chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the press service of the government, the prime minister instructed to present a draft government decision on the extension of the state of emergency, for the adoption of which a special meeting of the RA National Assembly will be convened.
At the meeting, participants discussed issues related to the limitations of certain types of economic activity, a possible schedule for their elimination, and an action plan to combat the spread of infection. Issues related to the organization of work in the social, educational, cultural and other fields of public life were raised.
To recall, the state of emergency in Armenia was announced from March 16 to April 14 this year.
