ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has identified a number of abuses within the framework of the implementation of the dasaran.am grant program. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the source, the Ministry of Education and Science allocated 180 million drams to one of the public organizations from February 14, 2017 to February 2, 2018 as grants to facilitate the dasaran.am educational and informational program . However, the Prosecutor General's Office found that from 2017 to 2018 this public organization spent the money provided to it on the services of a certain commercial company, while the resources of this public organization were enough to carry out the necessary work. It was found that we are talking about bulk documents, that is, this money was simply "laundered".
A criminal case has been opened in the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia on this fact under article 179 (Assignment or embezzlement, Ed.) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The preliminary investigation in this case was entrusted to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
It should be noted that the main mission of the Dasaran (Class) program is to create transparency in the education system, increase access to educational programs for more children and youth of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora through a telecommunications platform and alternative remote education methods, regardless of social status or geographical location .
