ArmInfo. Seven dozens of Armenian citizens through Georgian territory will return homeland from Turkey . This is stated in the commentary of the press secretary  of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdadyan,  received by ArmInfo.

She recalled that all possible measures are being taken by Armenia to  return their citizens home, and priority is given especially to those  who find themselves in a difficult situation in those countries where  the epidemic is most widespread.

"For this reason, it was decided to ensure the return of RA citizens  who are in Turkey and want to return to their homeland. About 100 RA  citizens have established contacts with the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs.  With the efforts and funding of the RA Ministry of Foreign  Affairs, seven dozen RA citizens have been returned to their homeland  through Georgia. Those who arrive in Armenia will be subject to a  compulsory quarantine of 14 days. The transportation of citizens is  carried out in coordination with the relevant services of Turkey and  Georgia, whose assistance is valuable, "Naghdalyan emphasized.

Touching upon the proposal of the Turkish president to assist Armenia  in the fight against coronavirus, the representative of the Armenian  Foreign Ministry noted that they learned about the press- release on  the phone conversation of Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople  with the President of Turkey. As a third party, we would refrain from  commenting on unofficial information. In any case, we have no such  issue on the agenda, she noted.

As ArmInfo reported earlier with reference to the press service of  the AAC Patriarchate of Constantinople, on April 8, Turkish President  Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with the 85th  patriarch of the AAC, Bishop Sahak Mashalyan. Erdogan during a  conversation with Mashalyan stated the readiness of the Turkish side  to provide assistance to Armenia in the form of medicines, while he  informed about the simplification of the procedures for the return of  Armenian citizens from Turkey to their homeland. At the same time,  the Turkish leader expressed gratitude to the Armenian community for  participating in the fundraising within the framework of the marathon  "We are enough for us, Turkey".

In this regard, ArmInfo also sent a request to the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs of Armenia clarifying the position of the Armenian  side on the proposal of Erdogan.
