ArmInfo.Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan commented on the news about nine Armenian students who cannot return to Armenia from Israel due to the situation with coronavirus.
''On March 23, 9 students - citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who at that time had problems with living and returning to Armenia due to the closure of the school, contacted the Armenian Embassy in Israel and the Foreign Ministry. They were provided on the spot with all necessary living conditions, and the embassy purchased airline tickets for them to Armenia and provided transportation to the airport. However, due to restrictions and cancellation of flights introduced by the Government of Israel in the fight against a new type of coronavirus, the process of their return to Armenia was postponed. The embassy is in constant contact with students, and steps are periodically taken to find on-site solutions to all existing problems.
The problems of Armenian citizens who are currently abroad are comprehensive. The diplomatic missions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commandant's Office of Armenia have full information about the problems of our citizens in more than 50 countries. The diplomatic missions of Armenia abroad, around the clock and in an overloaded mode, are working towards solving these problems under the conditions applied by various countries and daily changing restrictions.
In the case of each individual country, the form and amount of support is determined taking into account the aspect of health security, available opportunities and the specific situation.
We urge all interested parties to resist the temptation to create excitement around a particular case in the narrow interests. The situation requires civil liability and a serious attitude on the part of everyone>, Naghdalyan's statement reads.
