ArmInfo. In Armenia, cases of coronavirus doubled every 7 days.  This was announced by the head of the RA Ministry of Health Arsen Torosyan on his Facebook page, adding  that similar rates are observed, for example, in Japan.

According to him, in other countries, this indicator of the doubling  of cases of coronavirus varies from two to ten days. If we assume  that the seven-day growth rate in Armenia will continue, then on  April 7 there will be about 1000 cases of coronavirus in the  republic, April 14 - 2000, and so on. <The task of all of us is to  achieve a slowdown, so that for us to begin with, the number of new  cases is equal to the number of patients who have recovered, and  subsequently - less than this indicator. If the pace continues, then  we, having no other choice, will be forced to "treat" patients with a  mild course of the disease or without symptoms at home, as many  countries do, - the minister noted, adding that not a single  healthcare system in the world is capable of bearing this load.

<In the context of the foregoing, it is important to stay at home and  strictly follow the instructions on self- isolation, including taking  into account the risk of administrative responsibility. It is  important that we fix these violations in one way or another and  return people to their place of self-isolation. This is not an end in  itself, but a tool to prevent the spread of the virus.

What is being done today by the healthcare system of Armenia is ten  times larger than could be expected over the years from the  healthcare system with expenditures of 1.5% of GDP, and is only the  result of the dedicated service of medical workers, as well as  employees of our other departments>, - emphasized Torosyan. As of  March 31, 532 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 31  people recovered, and three died.

According to the new decision, the operation of public  transport with the exception of railway transport is terminated. At  the same time, taxi activities are allowed. The interregional  movement of citizens is limited. Movement is possible along the  work-to-home route in the event of one or two exceptions.

It is also allowed the movement of family members, employees of the  same organization on light passenger cars without quantity  restrictions. Upon entering work, it will now be necessary to submit  a form completed by the employer. It is also indicated that a number of restrictions will come into  force later than the rest, so that there is time for adaptation.  Mandatory self-isolation is established at the place of residence, or  another place chosen by him, to limit direct contact with other  people and to prevent the spread of infection. The commandant's  decision will be valid until 23.59 April 12th.
