ArmInfo.In the period from March 13 to March 29, Armenian citizens who have lost their jobs will receive a lump-sum social allowance commensurate with the minimum wage. This decision, which is the 6th turnaround package of state assistance in the conditions of the crisis, was adopted on March 30 during an extraordinary meeting of the RA government.
It should be noted that the conditions for providing social assistance to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia were presented by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zaruhi Batoyan. She explained that the beneficiaries of this assistance package are those individuals, citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who are from January 1 to March 13, 2020 were in labor relations with a private sector employer on the basis of an employment contract or an individual legal act on hiring, and lost work due to the situation with coronavirus from March 13 to 29. According to Batoyan, those individuals cannot benefit from these privileges, whose wages in the past 2 months have exceeded 500 thousand dram; citizens who, since March 29, inclusive, have been in labor relations with another or the same employer on the basis of a different labor agreement; citizens who, as of March 29, inclusive, were considered individual entrepreneurs whose business activity was not stopped in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Tax Code; beneficiaries of the 5th assistance package (on the provision of one-time social benefits in the amount of 100 thousand drams to those families with minor children and whose parents lost their jobs due to the situation with coronavirus). The Minister noted that RA citizens will be able to receive lump-sum social benefits from April 2 of this year. The funds will be credited to citizens on their accounts, which are contained in the database of the RA State Revenue Committee.
