ArmInfo. As of 12:00 on March 29, 482 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Armenia, of which 58 were only for the last day. This was announced on March 30 during an extraordinary meeting of the Government of the Republic of Armenia by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan.
He explained that out of 58 cases, 25 were accounted for in quarantine of citizens who had practically no social circle.
31 cases, among which there are paramedics, according to Torosyan, were already at risk because they communicated with patients whose test results for coronavirus were positive. Out of 58 - 2 cases are citizens who have arrived from abroad, whose social circle is now being clarified.
Torosyan noted that out of 482 patients, 14 was assessed as severe, and one as extremely serious. However, in this regard, the Minister noted that there is a high probability that a patient who has an artificial lung ventilation device connected will soon be able to breathe independently.
At the same time, he said that 2 patients, whose condition was assessed as serious, and there was a likelihood of their condition deteriorating to extremely severe, went on the mend and will be transferred to a regular ward.
14 patients who are diagnosed with a serious condition, according to the minister, have chronic diseases, with the exception of one patient who aggravated his condition by seeking late medical help. Torosyan reminded that to date, 30 cases of recovery have been registered in Armenia, however, this number may increase, since a certain number of patients will undergo a re-examination soon, and there is a chance that negative results will be obtained during the repeated tests.
