ArmInfo.Every day, 3-4 cases of violation of the self-isolation are recorded in Armenia. Deputy Chief of Police of RA Police Hayk Mhryan announced at a March 23 press conference.
Mhryan informed that the lists and contact details of isolated citizens are updated daily and provided by the RA Ministry of Healthcare. In turn, police officers make phone calls with these citizens all day every 4 hours. Mhryan informed that if citizens have complaints, the police will inform the Ministry of Healthcare about this. According to him, 3-4 cases of violation of the self-isolation are recorded daily in Armenia, however, in 70-80% of cases, this issue can be resolved by telephone, through outreach to citizens.
Meanwhile, in order to regulate issues related to the state of emergency, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia introduced amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code. According to them, a citizen who violates the requirements of isolation will be fined in the amount of 100 to 250 times the minimum wage. As Mhryan noted, from now on, law enforcement officers will be guided by the above-mentioned requirements. At the same time, he informed that no additional police groups would be created to control self-isolated of citizens.
