According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, all flights to foreign countries are suspended, except for flights from Moscow to the capitals of large cities. The list of exclusion flights published by the Federal Air Transport Agency includes flights to 146 countries (only one flight to one country). Yerevan also fell under the exception. Flights from Moscow to Yerevan will continue to operate on a regular basis.
Charter flights will also be exempted, provided that foreigners and Russians are transported to their homeland until they are fully exported.
Russia began to restrict air traffic due to the coronavirus from February 1 - then some flights to China were suspended. Then the restrictions expanded. In particular, they affected air traffic with South Korea and Iran. Then came the suspension of flights to European cities, starting with Italian.
Air traffic restrictions were also introduced by other countries. As a result, airlines around the world were forced to suspend a significant portion of flights.
