ArmInfo. In connection with coronavirus, safety measures should be tightened in hospitals. RA Deputy Prime Minister and Commandant Tigran Avinyan stated this at a government meeting on March 19 Avinyan informed that the day before he had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Information Technology of Iran, during which the exchange of data took place.
As it was emphasized, the experience of Iran is extremely important for Armenia, since in this country, as in Italy, cases of the spread of coronavirus inside hospitals were recorded. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance of taking measures to tighten control in the Nork infectious diseases hospital, as well as in other hospitals where coronavirus patients will be treated.
He also pointed out that the program on re-equipping the country's medical centers was presented by the head of the Ministry of Health Arsen Torosyan, which will allow even more focus on the treatment of patients with coronavirus and the prevention of fatal outcomes in severe cases of the disease.
In addition, it is planned to introduce an application that will help citizens remotely answer questions about their health status. The data obtained will be analyzed taking into account the recommendations of the WHO and, in the event of deviations from the norms, a specific citizen will be provided with information on exactly where to address these symptoms.
The commandant also called on citizens to use electronic filing mechanisms with government agencies. On the eve, on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the restrictions on movement introduced earlier in Etchmiadzin were lifted. As Avinyan noted, an analysis of the situation indicates that among the residents of the city, the coronavirus was detected only in isolated individuals. RA Deputy Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that, according to studies, in Italy up to 50% of deaths from coronavirus are registered among citizens who have three or more chronic diseases, and among those who have two chronic diseases, this figure is about 25%. Thus, among people who do not have serious health problems, the risk of death from coronavirus is extremely low.
We add that in Armenia, at present, 115 cases of coronavirus have been detected.
