ArmInfo. The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan ratified the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Armenia on issues of exchange of notes and the procedure for recognition of official documents.
According to the press service of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Armenia, presenting the document at a plenary meeting of the Senate, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov noted that the main purpose of the agreement in the form of an exchange of notes on the procedure for recognizing official documents is to establish a simplified procedure for recognizing documents confirming residence issued by authorized bodies Kazakhstan and Armenia.
The implementation of the simplified procedure is implemented by canceling any special certification of documents confirming residence, including apostille service or consular legalization, which helps to improve the investment climate.
A separate clause of the agreement provides that the recognition procedure provided for in the Agreement applies to official documents issued by authorized bodies of states from January 1, 2012. The provisions of the Agreement after ratification in both states will take precedence over the domestic legislation of both states.
