ArmInfo.The total number of coronavirus infected with COVID-19 in Armenia as of the morning of March 12 was 4 people. This was announced on March 12 at a government meeting by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen  Torosyan.

According to him, three persons who had arrived earlier from Italy  had no symptoms, although there was a temperature. One person has  problems with fever and right-sided pneumonia. He receives the  necessary medical care, the rest do not need treatment. The minister  recalled that all three arrived from Italy. At the time of arrival,  they had no complaints, but were controlled by specialists in the  form of telephone and electronic communications. When complaints  appeared, all three were hospitalized, and all three had a virus. At  present, the minister continued, work is ongoing to identify all  those who have contacted these people in order to isolate them.  Already 10 people are isolated, who, together with another 30  persons, are in a specially designated place. Work is being carried  out at the place of residence of these individuals, and it is  possible that by the end of today the number of isolated individuals  will be increased. Torosyan noted that of the three arrivals from  Italy - two citizens of Armenia and one - of Italy.

The Minister assured that measures were being taken throughout the  country to prevent the further spread of coronavirus. Among the most  risky countries, he named China, the countries of the European Union,  Iran and South Korea. Torosyan added that the responsibility of every  citizen of the country is important for the further spread of the  virus.

In turn, the head of the Office for the Coordination of Inspection  Authorities Artur Asoyan emphasized that as in airports, so at the  borders is tightened control over arriving citizens. And if from  February 28 control was carried out only in relation to passengers  arriving from risky countries, now it applies to all persons arriving  in the republic without exception. All passengers are measured  temperature, address cards are compiled. Moreover, the cards are  filled on board the aircraft. As of 09:00 on March 12, 6300 cards  were filled and submitted. Control is carried out by the joint  efforts of the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health  of the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan noted that there is no reason  for panic. Moreover, Armenia is the country with the least number of  infected. He recalled that on March 15, with the financial assistance  of the RA government, a charters from Rome to Yerevan will be  completed. The details of this flight, as well as other measures to  combat coronavirus, as noted by the Deputy Prime Minister, will be  the subject of a closed meeting of the RA government, which will be  held today. Recall that on the eve of the World Health Organization  (WHO) announced the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. Less  than 100 infections have been reported in 96 countries and areas of  the world. Coronavirus deaths were recorded in Iraq (six), San  Marino, the Philippines and Lebanon (two each), one each in  Indonesia, Ireland, Canada, Egypt, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines,  Albania, Argentina, Morocco, Panama, Bulgaria. In total, over 67  thousand people have been cured in the world.
