ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on citizens of the country and representatives of the Diaspora to take an active part in the upcoming event to plant 10 million trees. He posted his appeal on his page on Faceebook.
"I urge citizens and representatives of the Diaspora on October 10, 2020 to take an active part in this event," said the head of government, who is on a working trip to the Lori region of the republic. The Minister of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia Erik Grigoryan, pointing out the importance of the upcoming event, also stated its spiritual significance. According to him, each tree planted by a representative of the Diaspora can be addressed to representatives of family, friends, relatives.
Agreeing with this formula, the Prime Minister noted that a tree planted in honor of his 5-year-old son can remind about the event in 10-15 years. It should be reminded that on October 16 last year at the Global Innovation Forum, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan came up with an initiative to plant 10 million trees on October 10, 2020, which will symbolize the unity of 10 million Armenians from around the world.
