ArmInfo. The court, in the proceedings of which there is a "diesel case" on which Serzh Sargsyan is charged, should share the sources of its confidence in latter's  return.  Chairman of the Public Council of Armenia Stepan Safaryan  expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.

On his own recognizance, former President, leader of the Republican  Party of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan left for Belgium, where he discussed  with European People's Party leader Donald Tusk regional problems and  the internal situation, the expected referendum in Armenia.  "I also  want to understand whether the judge who allowed Sargsyan to leave if  he doesn't go back, as did those in similar status, Samvel  Mayrapetyan and Migran Poghosyan, will bear personal responsibility?  In certain cases, permission to leave the persons under investigation  is issued by the preliminary investigation bodies. I don't know  whether the court has such powers, "he said.

"I also want to understand, that the judge who allowed Sargsyan to  leave the country will bear personal responsibility, in the case if  he doesn't go back as did those in similar status, Samvel Mayrapetyan  and Mihran Poghosyan?

According to the information of the office of Serzh Sargsyan, who is  under recognizance not to leave, the former President received  permission to be absent from Armenia from March 4 to 7 from the  investigating authority in order to take part in important meetings  in Brussels. It should be noted that information is also circulating  in the media that a judge considering a "diesel case", in which the  former President is one of the accused, authorized Sargsyan's  departure.  Serzh Sargsyan, former Minister of Agriculture Sergo  Karapetyan, his deputy Samvel Galstyan and Flash owner Barsegh  Beglaryan are accused of embezzlement of state funds for the purchase  of diesel fuel. As a result of the "victory" in the tender, which  made the Flash company less profitable, the state suffered damage of  489 million drams.
