ArmInfo. The visit of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia corresponds to the logic of the development of good neighborly relations. Director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan stated at a March 5 press conference.
To recall, Pashinyan's official visit to Georgia took place on March 3-4. According to Iskandaryan, this visit is another evidence of the process of establishing good-neighborly relations between the two countries. At the same time, as the political scientist noted, the language of communication between the prime ministers of Armenia and Georgia has changed, which, in his opinion, is connected not with the essence of relations, but only with individuals.
Speaking about the Armenian-Georgian relations, Iskandaryan pointed out their uniqueness given the radically different foreign policy. On the one hand, Georgia is oriented toward the West, while Armenia is a member of the CSTO and the EAC. In addition, during voting on different international platforms, Armenia and Georgia often are in opposite camps. Meanwhile, as Iskandaryan noted, both Yerevan and Tbilisi understand that in this state of affairs and external differences there is nothing personal.
