As the press service of the head of the Armenian executive body reports, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a meeting with the head of the Council of Europe's General Directorate for Human Rights and the Rule of Law Christos Giakoumopoulos.
In this context, he touched upon democratic changes in Armenia, noting that the country is now moving towards strengthening democratic institutions and the assistance of international, including European, partners is important in this process.
In turn, Christos Giakoumopoulos assured that the CoE attaches importance to strengthening partnership with Armenia, and is ready to assist the reform processes in the country. The interlocutors discussed the interaction between Armenia and the Council of Europe in the judicial field, confirming their readiness to continue consultative discussions on strengthening democracy in the Republic of Armenia.
