MFA of Armenia urges RA citizens temporarily refrain from traveling  to China, Iran, Japan, South Korea and Italy

ArmInfo. The Foreign Ministry of Armenia urges its citizens temporarily refrain from  traveling to China, Iran, Japan, South Korea and Italy due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak in these countries.

" Due to the current situation with the outbreak of a new type of  Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we urge RA citizens to  temporarily refrain from traveling to Iran, China, Japan, South Korea  and Italy (especially the northern regions). However, when already in  these countries, or if the visit is irreversible, we urge you to  follow the instructions and advice of the Ministry of Healthcare or  the relevant authorities of that country and, if necessary, establish  contact with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, " shouted in a  statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), on Wednesday,  February 26, a total of 80,980 people in the world were infected with  Coronavirus, which outbreak from China. WHO Director-General Tedros  Adhanom Ghebreyesus  said the sharp increase in cases of disease  outside of China "raises serious concerns."

In Iran, 139 cases of disease and 19 deaths have been officially  confirmed, but the true extent of spread in this country can be much  wider. Iran's Deputy Minister of Health Iraj Harirchi, who had  previously denied that the authorities were hiding the true extent of  the disease, confirmed that he was also infected with the virus.

In South Korea, according to data on Wednesday, 1261 people became  infected with Coronavirus, 11 of them died. This country has the most  cases of disease outside of China. Authorities check for the presence  of the virus all 215 thousand members of this sect.

The US military leadership confirmed that a Coronavirus was found in  one of the American soldiers serving in South Korea at a base in  Daegu.

In Brazil, local media reported on Tuesday about the first suspected  case of infection: the 61-year-old man from Sao Paulo who returned  from a trip to northern Italy turned out to be infected. For a final  conclusion, doctors expect the results of a second test.

In Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called for the cancellation of  all major sporting and cultural events or postpone them for two weeks  due to the threat of the spread and disruption of the Olympic Games  in Tokyo. The vast majority of cases of Coronavirus are in China,  where, according to the latest data, more than 78 thousand people  were infected, 2,715 died. However, in recent weeks the number of  infected and dead there has been declining. In some regions, the  threat level has already been lowered. On Tuesday, 52 deaths were  recorded in China - the lowest daily rate in the last three weeks. In  several European countries, the first cases of Covid-19 disease  caused by the new Coronavirus were recorded. Apparently, all of them  are associated with an outbreak of infection in Italy, where the  number of infected has already reached more than 300 people, 11 of  those who died. The first case of Coronavirus was recorded in  Georgia.
